WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT A ‘LIFE-CYCLE CELEBRANT’?
The concept of ‘Life-Cycle Celebrant’ is new and fresh in Northern Ireland. Let me explain a little about it, and what you can expect if you choose this service for a special occasion ceremony.
Life-Cycle Celebrants are trained by the Celebrant Foundation and Institute (see Useful Links).
A Life-Cycle Celebrant offers alternatives to the traditional ceremonies of birth, marriage and death. In the modern world there is an ever-growing number of families of mixed race or faith, and also an increasing number of people who have a spiritual belief profile that will not fit easily into the traditional boxes of religious denomination. A Life-Cycle Celebrant creates ceremonies that reflect the beliefs of the honourees, whether that means mixed faiths, no faith, or personally chosen beliefs.
I create ceremonies to honour the sacredness of the individual. Each ceremony is personal to you. It will reflect who you (or your loved ones) are, and tell your unique story and dreams. I will get to know you through a face-to-face interview and an in-depth questionnaire. You will be involved throughout the process of ceremony creation, and approve the final draft. As a special gift, I will give you a keepsake copy of your ceremony to treasure.
If you have never thought of ceremony in terms other than "hatching, matching, and dispatching" you will be surprised how much more there is to celebrate in a lifetime. By browsing this site you can find out about ceremonies you may never have heard of. Ceremonies can be used daily in the home to enrich our lives and create unison with the passing seasons of Nature. Ceremonies can unite families and communities, and they can launch new initiatives. Whatever you desire to honour or celebrate, as a ‘Life-Cycle Celebrant’ I can create a ceremony for you.
This makes each ceremony written by a Life Cycle Celebrant absolutely unique. Each one is a work of Art, using symbolism, choreography, and beautifully crafted words to create moments you will never forget.
